PTAC BTU how?
Hello, I have a 2 car garage, I converted a car door in an office. I have well insulated and dry wall ready to go. I would like to add a PTAC unit like hotels use. The heating / cooling unit which is outside the wall. My question is btu what I need. The room size is 12FTwideX20FTlongX8FThigh I live in Cleveland, OH where the temperature can drop very low and the summer can be heavy. The guy thought 9000BTU dealer is good, another said I need more like 18000BTU. I do not want Overkill with too much or too little. So what would the amount of practice BTUs to buy a room this size? For you need 20,000 BTU heating. For cooling you need 15,000 BTU. So I'm going with 18,000 BTUs.
