Electric cars, as its name suggests, are vehicles that run on electricity and whose only source of energy is electricity. They are also known as battery electric vehicles. The most advantageous feature of electric cars is that they are zero emission vehicles and therefore does not pollute the atmosphere.
The number of parts in an electric car is also less compared to other hybrid cars or cars that run on gas. The sound of electric cars is almost negligible. Basically, an electric car is made a simple frame, wheels, an electric motor, car battery and an electric motor and switch. People also feel that electric cars are not the most suitable for driving over long distances and can be nightmarish if the car is running out of battery or in the middle of busy traffic.
Normally, an electric car offers the equivalent twenty miles per gallon and the cost to run a mile is about three hundred. Further more, there are no costs developed, changes oil and so on in an electric car. Thus, people who are environmentally friendly and want to paint a greener world can opt for an electric car.
The choice is not only appreciated by others but it would also fill the pocket of the owner because he saves a lot of fuel in the long term. Even if the man can buy oil with the surging oil prices, oil is a natural resource-depleting and it is our duty to preserve this resource for our future generations.
